Unintended Consequences of Google Pre-fetch

[Google.blognewschannel.com] » 2005 » March InsideGoogle - part of the Blog News Channel: “This technology will be a valuable addition to Google’s suite of advertising and publishing products.”According to a tip received by John Battelle, the price Google paid was in the neighborhood of $30 million. He also notes that many web publishers were using Urchin to understand their ads better, and since pretty much everyone else was using some random analytics package, Google apparently decided to buy one to make easily available to everyone.
